Train staﬀ in the safe management of boarding houses under new guidance and Dormitory procedures and in Covid- 19 nursing for appropriate staﬀ
Advise parents and students of the Dormitory’s policies on activities, trips, and the provision of boarding during weekends. We advise students to limit the trips back to Saudi Arabia due to the testing requirements. Those students needing to go home will be fully assisted to make the journey’s safe and comfortable. This will be reviewed on a regular basis according to the current Covid 19 situation.
Before departure from home
Contact each student and their family, through their parents if appropriate, to explain arrangements and answer any questions
Provide written information on arrival procedures, including restrictions on parents entering the
Provide a confirmation letter for each students conﬁrming that they are a student at Bahrain School and BISA Dormitory to assist travel though the King Fahad Causeway.
For students arriving through the airport, conﬁrm the arrangements for collecting the student from the airport, transport to Dormitory and how any required quarantine procedures will be undertaken. Other arrangements as agreed with Dormitory staff, parents, or students are acceptable, as long as they comply with the relevant immigration guidance.
All students must have a smart phone and have downloaded the Bahrain BeAware Application.
Students exiting Saudi Arabia must have a negative PCR test within 72 hours of travel. The student must have the appropriate letter/document to present to the Bahrain Official at the causeway. Alternatively, students can be tested at the Causeway and placed in quarantine at the dormitory according the Bahrain regulations and the test result if confirmed.
For students upon arrival in the country
Ensure the student is met by a member of the Dorminy staff, who is aware of, and follows, appropriate social distancing guidance
Ensure that the named person wears a face covering at all times when in proximity to the student in enclosed areas, especially in vehicles unless screens are provided
Ensure that the journey to Dormitory is direct, that the vehicle contains sanitizer and suitable wipes.
For all students upon arrival at Dormitory
Ensure all changes to routines and all new safety arrangements, which have been previously notiﬁed in writing, are fully explained to students, with full induction for any students new to the Dormitory
Encourage the student to contact home shortly after arrival and keep in regular contact with parents.
Explain the new ﬁre evacuation procedures and conduct a drill soon after arrival
